Revelers Crowd Inwood For Maskless And Even Topless Party
Crowds of people dancing on the sidewalks of Inwood are drawing attention for ignoring social distancing rules.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS-INWOOD, NY — A massive parking lot party broke out over the weekend in Inwood that featured revelers forgoing social distancing rules, masks — and even clothes altogether.
Multiple videos (warning: The videos contain nudity) posted to Twitter show an unidentified woman dancing topless in front of a large crowd in the Speedway gas station parking lot on 401 W. 207th Street.
One tweet reads, "207st. This is Dyckman for y'all. COVID will never end."

There were a total of 34 complaints in the Inwood Zip code for "loud music/party" on the street or sidewalk between 10 p.m Friday and 2 a.m Saturday.
Additionally, an NYPD sergeant was struck by a drunk driver when police arrived to clear out the parking lot of approximately 200 vehicles in the vicinity of W. 207th St and 9th Avenue early Saturday, according to a police spokesperson.
The impact knocked the unidentified sergeant to the ground and broke his collar bone, according to the Daily News.
The rowdy party scene wasn't just in Inwood this weekend, with videos of crowds in Astoria and the Lower East Side also drawing ire for their lack of masks and social distancing.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo had a simple message in his Monday morning news conference for the weekend partygoers: "Knock it off. Don't be stupid."
"If it happens, we're going to have to roll back the opening plan," Cuomo added.
