Students Will Refill Wash Heights Pantry With 1600 Pounds Of Food
NYC high school students from Derek Jeter's foundation will restock CLOTH's food pantry in the Heights with more than 1,600 pounds of food.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — One of the most prominent food pantries in Washington Heights is about to get a major replenishing as New York City high school students from Derek Jeter's Turn 2 Foundation will restock the local pantry with more than 1,600 pounds of food.
On Wednesday, the students will volunteer at the Community League of the Heights (CLOTH) pantry at 508 West 159th Street.
The community service initiative — in partnership with the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital — is part of the Jeter's Leaders Social Change Project's push to "make a difference in the Washington Heights community as part of the 2021 Social Change Project."

The Jeter’s Leaders is a four-year leadership development program for high school students in New York and West Michigan, who serve as ambassadors for the legendary New York City baseball player in their communities.
CLOTH is a "community development corporation dedicated to building equitable, prosperous and healthy northern Manhattan neighborhoods."
