Video: Man Assaults 2 People For Catcalling Girlfriend In Inwood, Police Say
One of the victims suffered serious head trauma but is expected to survive, police told Patch.

INWOOD, NY — The NYPD are searching for a man who assaulted two men on an Inwood street Thursday morning.
The suspect approached the 69-year-old and 39-year-old victims before launching a hail of punches at the two men in retaliation for catcalling at his girlfriend, police told Patch. The assault occurred around 3:30 a.m. Thursday in front of a Supermarket on Sherman Avenue between Dyckman and Academy streets, police said.
Police released a video of the violent attack, which shows the suspect throw what appears to be a sucker punch at one of the seated victims. When the other victim attempts to get involved in the fight, he too is punched in the head several times.

During the assault, a woman can be seen attempting to pull the suspect away from the two victims.
The 69-year-old victim suffered serious head trauma and was taken to Saint Barnabus hospital, police said. He is likely to survive, police told Patch. The 39-year-old victim suffered bruising and refused medical attention at the scene of the crime, police said.

The suspect (pictured above) is described as a man between the ages of 18 and 20, last seen wearing a white polo shirt, gray shorts and white high top Converse sneakers.
