Washington Heights Apartment Fire Sends 1 To Hospital: FDNY
More than 100 firefighters were sent to put out a fire in the top floor of a building on West 158th Street early Thursday, officials said.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A fire that erupted in the top floor of an apartment building early Thursday morning sent one person to the hospital, officials said.
Flames broke out in the sixth floor of 541 West 158th St. just before 5 a.m., an FDNY spokesperson said.
The two-alarm fire brought more than 100 firefighters to the apartment building before it was put out a little over an hour later, the spokesperson said.

One firefighter was hurt in the blaze and sent to the hospital with minor injuries. Nobody else was injured in the fire, the spokesperson said.
