Washington Heights Grocery Workers Robbed At Knifepoint, Cops Say
Two employees at The Mexican Culture Deli and Grocery Store were closing up shop when they were robbed on Amsterdam Avenue, cops said.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Workers closing up shop at their Amsterdam Avenue grocery store and deli were robbed at knifepoint last month, cops said.
The two workers, a 26-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman, were closing the store just after 2:30 a.m. on March 30 when four men came up to them, one holding a knife, police said.
The group of four went through the 26-year-old's pockets and snatched his cell phone, wallet and e-bike, police said. The wallet had ID and $250 cash inside, police said.

The thieves did not take anything from the woman, police said.
One of the thieves rode the worker's bike down West 160th Street and the others followed behind, police said.

Both workers refused medical attention at the scene.
Police said the group of thieves are in their late teens to early 20s.
