Washington Heights, Inwood Celebrate National Night Out Against Crime
NYPD community affairs officers will be celebrating with community members Tuesday evening while teaching them best safety practices.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A run in with the cops is usually not a measure of a successful night out. But Tuesday night Washington Heights residents will be partying with the police during a celebration of National Night Out. During National Night Out, neighborhood residents can meet local police officers to learn best safety practices and enjoy free food and entertainment.
Washington Heights is covered by two police precincts, the 33rd and 34th precincts. Both precincts will be holding separate National Night Out celebrations.
The 33rd precinct, which covers 155th to 179th streets, will hold its party at Highbridge Park from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
