Woman Climbing Median On Broadway Falls Into Traffic, Cops Say
A woman was rushed to the hospital after she tried to climb a street median and fell into the road, where she was hit by a car, police said.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A woman was rushed to the hospital Tuesday night after she tried to climb over a street median and fell into traffic, police said.
The 59-year-old woman had been trying to climb over a barrier in the middle of the street between West 157th and 158th streets just after 8 p.m. when she fell backwards into the street, an NYPD spokesperson said.
A Honda that had been driving by hit the woman after she fell into the road, police said.

Emergency responders rushed the woman to Mount Sinai St. Luke's hospital with an injury to her head. She was in conscious and in stable condition, the spokesperson said.
Officers talked to the 19-year-old driver of the Honda after the crash. There had been no arrests as of Wednesday morning.
