Woman Critically Injured In Washington Heights Hit-And-Run, Police Say
A 43-year-old woman was struck by a hit-and-run driver in the intersection of West 157 Street and St. Nicholas Avenue.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — The NYPD is searching for a hit-and-run driver who left a woman critically injured in Washington Heights, police told Patch.
A woman was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street at West 157 Street and St. Nicholas Avenue shortly before 10:30 p.m. Friday, police said. The driver of the car, a dark-colored Chrysler sedan, was turning left in the intersection when they struck the 43-year-old victim, police told Patch.
First responders found the woman lying in the street suffering from severe trauma about the head and body, police told Patch. The woman, who has not been identified, was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital in critical condition, police said.

The driver fled the scene after hitting the woman, police told Patch. A suspect has not been identified and the NYPD investigation into the collision is ongoing, police said.
