Women Zip Tied During Washington Heights Home Invasion: Police
Three robbers posed as cops during the home invasion in an apartment near West 193 Street and St. Nicholas Avenue.
WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — The NYPD is hunting down three men who pretended to be cops and tied women up during a home invasion robbery in Washington Heights, police said.
The robbers forced their way into an apartment near West 193 Street and St. Nicholas Avenue on the night of June 17 and told the four people living there that they were cops, police said. The men proceeded to use zip ties to restrain a 29-year-old woman and a 30-year-old woman, police said.
The two other inhabitants of the apartment, a 61-year-old woman and a 10-year-old girl, were not tied up, police said.

Robbers grabbed $200 in cash and three bags containing "undetermined property" and fled the scene, said police. One of the women was able to free herself from her bindings and call police for help.
The two women who were zip tied were treated at the scene by medics after complaining of pain to their wrists, police said.
