2 Men Rescued After Inflatable Boat Overturns In Shinnecock Inlet

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — Two men were rescued after their inflatable boat overturned in the Shinnecock Inlet in Hampton Bays Sunday, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, the incident took place at 11:45 a.m. when Senior Bay Constables Al Tuzzolo and Mike Tenaglia responded to a report of an overturned vessel in

the inlet. Upon arriving, they found a 15-foot inflatable boat overturned with two men, Jong Won Kim and Young G. Kim of Flushing, Queens clinging to the hull in adverse sea conditions, police said.

Both men refused medical attention and were returned to the launching ramp at the Ponquogue Bridge, police said.
