Live-Library.com Lovers Quarterly Online Book Discussion

Sutton by J.R. Moehringer is this quarter's online book discussion on Live-brary.com

Don’t have time to join an in person book club? Love to read and discuss books with others?  Live-brary.com, the Suffolk County Public Libraries’ digital branch, will host its quarterly online book discussion on Thursday, April 25 and will center on the New York Times bestselling author and Pulitzer Prize-winner J.R. Moehringer’s novel Sutton.  Sutton was chosen as 2013’s Long Island Reads book of the year.  The discussion will take place over the course of the afternoon and evening.

Moehringer’s fictionalized account portrays one of the most notorious, romantic and enigmatic criminals of the first half of the Twentieth Century.  A modern-day Robin Hood, William Francis “Willie” Sutton during his 40-year career was a mystery, a folk hero, a lover of books, a reader of Dante, and a felon.  He robbed banks “because that’s where the money is,” escaped from three maximum-security prisons and got by on his wits and good looks.
