Hampton Bays Elementary School Students Learn About Water Safety

The Long Island Drowning Prevention Tasks Force spoke to the students on June 4.

The Hampton Bays Elementary School recently invited the Long Island Drowning Prevention Tasks Force to talk with students about water safety.

The talk, which took place on June 4, was to help ensure the safety of students during the summer months.

During the program, students were educated and entertained through a puppet show and songs.

Characters, including Sammy Starfish, Timmy Tadpole and Gilbert Guppy, took turns teaching students to be safe around water by following rules, including never swimming along, having a phone by the pool and learning to properly use rescue equipment.
