Twin Peaks Geeks Knows All Things Apple
Mac instructors ready and waiting at Geek Hampton
It is a quirky business name you most likely won't forget. Twin Peaks Geeks is a Hampton Bays-based business that specializes in instruction, repair and troubleshooting for Apple computers and phones.
Mike Avery and Cheryl Heller, who have owned the company for ten years, named the business after their former San Francisco neighborhood, Twin Peaks. Avery and Heller personally tutor the majority of their clients on all things Mac, including iPhones and iPads. After running the business from home for several years, Heller and Avery opened the Geek Hampton store in 2007. Geek Hampton is located across from the Good Ground Cemetery.
Amy O'Donnell, Director of Operations for Twin Peaks, said the personal tutoring is an effective way to learn all the computer programs correctly from the start. She added that the client's range in age from children to seniors.

"It's a broad range of clients," said O'Donnell. "It's great to see someone in their late 80s with a computer for the first time, learning how to use it. It's a new world for them."
With the surge of popularity of Apple products in recent years, Twin Peaks has been busier than ever. With more than 20 years combined experience, the staff at Geek Hampton keeps clients updated through a company newsletter, Twitter posts, and, of course, a Facebook page.
