Westhampton Beach Students Participate in Summer Rec Program
Over 300 students participated in several activities during the four-week program.
Over 300 Westhampton Beach students recently participated in a variety of hands-on, interactive learning activities as part of the district’s four-week summer recreation program, which ended on July 31.
During the program, held at Westhampton Beach Elementary School under the direction of Cindy Parry, students in grades K-8 participated in activities spanning sports, crafts, art, computers and science.
Additionally, attendees were treated to special programs provided by local businesses, such as dance lessons with the Dance Center of the Hamptons and enjoyed tasty treats offered by Ben and Jerry’s.

The summer recreation program also provided an opportunity for incoming kindergartners to become acquainted with their new school and for older students to further their academics through a program called the Academy.
