Woman Crashes Into Ambulance On Call, Charged With DWI: Police (Westhampton-Hampton Bays Patch) A Freeport woman was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after she crashed into an ambulance early Saturday, police said. According to Southampton Town Police, at 1:58 a.m., Kayla Curtis-Jackson, 21, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor DWI, as well as unsafe passing on the left, and failure to yield right of way to an emergency vehicle, both infractions. Curtis-Jackson was driving in the area of Ponquogue Ave. and Good Ground Rd. in Hampton Bays when she crashed into an ambulance from Hampton Bays Volunteer Ambulance Corps as they were responding to an aided case, police said.
