'Bring Up Baby Westchester's First Under-One-Roof For Parents or Future Parents

Got baby?  Expecting one soon?  Or perhaps your baby is now a toddler?  

To raise young children today, parents and parents-to-be must know—and master—a wealth of information from pre-natal care to installing car seats correctly to spotting stages of development and enrolling in early education programs.

What: “Bringing Up Baby” is Westchester’s first event of its kind to provide experts, workshops, mini-talks, presentations, and essential heath and childcare information under one roof at the YWCA White Plains & Central Westchester.

Topics include:

• “Good nutrition for parents and young children” by Ann Rupp, NR, Certified Diabetes Educator
• “How to raise a cavity free child” by Leyla Nakisbendi, DMD
• “Getting a good night’s sleep: Creating good sleep habits for infants and young children” by White Plains Hospital
• “Protecting your child from disease and the immunization schedule” by Dr. Alicia Rieger, WESTMED
• “How mothers, fathers, and families of every shape, can support the positive development of young children” by Dr. Deborah Scheinthal, WESTMED.

Have questions about car seats, health care, childcare and more? Experts will also talk about:

• Car sear safety the baby was fine in the hospital, but what do you do now
• How do you if know your infant/toddler is normal
• Developmental stages of young children
• Mom chat on how to stay sane, keep looking good and staying on course
• What to look for in early education programs
• Early intervention supporting cognitive, developmental and social growth of young children through early intervention

This event, $5 for a family and free for YWCA members, is sponsored by the YWCA White Plains & Central Westchester, Mayers & Nakisbendi Dental Associates PLLC, White Plains Hospital and WESTMED Medical Group.
