Memorial Fund Established in Honor of Alissa and Deanna Hochman
The fund was set up by Harrison EMS, where Alissa volunteered. A community memorial service for the two is set for this evening, Feb. 25.

A memorial fund has been established by Harrison EMS in honor of Alissa and Deanna Hochman, the two sisters who were tragically killed over the weekend.
Donations to the page, set up on the website GoFundMe, have poured in, and as of Wednesday afternoon more than $68,000 had been raised. The goal is to raise $75,000, all of which will be given to the girls’ mother, Anamarie, and older sister Samantha to help with expenses, according to the organizers.

“It is with great sorrow that I extend this expression of sympathy and compassion to my fellow community members and all who have been affected by the recent, tragic loss of Alissa and Deanna Hochman,” said Belmont in a statement. “The girls were cherished by their family, friends, and teachers and by the Town/Village of Harrison. I encourage all those who knew and loved Alissa and Deanna to draw strength from the sense of unity we have here in town. In this very difficult time, I hope that we can celebrate their lives and remember, with fondness, the impact they had on us all. My thoughts and prayers go out to both the Hochman and DiPietro families.”
