It appears we’ll be going to sleep Saturday to snow falling in White Plains.

(Too bad the football playoffs weren’t on Saturday, it would have been a perfect day for it with many of us snowed in.)

As of 11AM, the National Weather Service predicted additional accumulation of 13-23 inches locally.

Dealing with power issues, Con Ed advises:

DO NOT touch a fallen power line or any other electrical equipment. Keep children and pets away from all fallen wires. If you see downed power lines or fallen wires please contact ConEd immediately at 1-800-75-CONED (1-800-752-6633).

If a power line falls on a car or vehicle you’re in, don’t get out, and don’t touch anything outside it. The vehicle’s rubber tires will provide insulation and protect you until help arrives. Wait for police, fire, or emergency service workers.
