Princess Nokia Says She Doused L Train Racist With Soup

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — An indie rapper from Harlem says she doused a racial slur-chanting straphanger with soup after he called her the N-word.

Princess Nokia said she is the woman who can be seen on video slapping an Lime-A-Rita aficionado who was ejected from an L train by his fellow passengers in Brooklyn on Saturday.

“I threw hot soup in this mans face and kicked him off off the train,” the rap artist Destiny Frasqueri, 25, wrote on Twitter. “Any other racists wanna try us again?"

Princess Nokia — who recently released a debut album entitled 1992 Deluxe — detailed how she slapped an unapologetic Paul Lawson after he started hurling racial slurs at a group of teenaged boys.

“When I slapped him, he called me a n-----,” she wrote. “And when I did all my brothers on the train came to my side and held my hand and comforted me.”

The video shows a woman with a 1992 tattoo on her hand (which can be seen in a photo of Frasqueri in The Hundreds) hurling yellow soup from Au Bon Pain into Lawson’s face at the Bedford Ave. L train station.

The woman then throws the cup at Lawson and tells him to, "Get out right now."

“Although painful and humiliating, we stood together and kicked this disgusting racist off the train so we could ride in peace,” Princess Nokia wrote on Twitter.

Frasqueri did not immediately respond to Patch’s request for comment.
