1,000 Stories Campaign Reflects on Community

What happens when you put 4 people around a table to talk about their stories? You get a great group conversation!

In this second video, you can find us talking about community.

I am approaching my 6th year being a part of Relay for Life & if there's one thing that I have taken with me is the sense of community.

There is something so interesting when you put a group of people together who have all gone through similar situations & seeing how they react. For me, I have had an overwhelmingly positive experience with placing myself into the Relay community. I never had to explain what I was feeling or going through much without having a solid group who completely understood what was happening in my life.

It makes the journey of cancer- no matter where you are in that journey- a little bit easier. Having such a strong support group is so important whether you're a survivor or a caregiver. I cherish the people who have been a part of my Relay community and am always making sure that when a new person joins us, that they feel welcome just the way I felt.

This second group session we talk about how important community is! Visit our website to watch the video & to learn more about the campaign! http://rockforrelay.weebly.com/1000-stories-blog/group-sessions-part-2

To join us in our campaign & to share your story, please mail them to us by September 25, 2017 to:
