2 Hudson Valley Women Arrested On Drug Charges In Yorktown: Police

Police initiated a traffic stop and said they found drugs.

YORKTOWN, NY — Two Hudson Valley women were arrested for alleged drug possession after a traffic stop in Yorktown.

Police said Rachelle K. Perez, 19, of Lake Peekskill, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor, and Sabrina M. Ricciardi, 20, of Putnam Valley, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, and disobey a traffic control device, a traffic infraction.

Around 8 p.m. March 8, a Yorktown Police officer observed a vehicle crossing the double yellow line and a traffic stop was initiated in the area of Lee Boulevard and Hill Boulevard.

An investigation found that Ricciardi, the driver, was in possession of 5.56 grams of marijuana, police said, and her passenger, Perez, had 2.84 ounces of marijuana.

They were arrested and taken to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.

Ricciardi was released on her own recognizance. Perez was released on $100 bail.

Both women are due back in Yorktown Justice Court April 11.
