2 Yorktown Residents Punched A Man In Head At Soccer Match: Police

The pair of "soccer hooligans" were served with a criminal summons for second degree harassment, according to Yorktown police.

YORKTOWN, NY — There is more fallout from a melee on a Westchester soccer pitch, according to Yorktown police.

The Yorktown Police Department says that two Yorktown residents were each served with a criminal summons for second degree harassment.

On October 6, at 11:35 a.m., Yorktown police were called to a report of a large fight between two opposing soccer teams at the Navajo Fields.

After an investigation, it was alleged that 24-year-old Ariel Enamorado and 40-year-old Gabriel Chavarria punched the same victim in the head during the incident.

After criminal summonses were applied for and received, police contacted the pair and advised them to respond to YPD headquarters for summons service.

On October 28, at 5:45 p.m., Enamorado and Chavarria arrived at the Yorktown Police Department, and were each served with a criminal summons, and then released on their own recognizance.

They are due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on November 12.
