5 Teens Arrested For Shoplifting From Macy's

YORKTOWN, NY — A group of teenage girls were accused of shoplifting. Yorktown police said three 15-year-olds and two 16-year-olds — all from Peekskill — were charged with juvenile delinquency.

Police said that, around 5 p.m. July 23, officers were sent to Macy's for a report of theft in progress.

An investigation found that the girls stole property valued at $571.98, police said.
Two of the teens were detained by Macy's loss prevention, and the three others were found by Yorktown police at the location.

They were all arrested and taken to the police headquarters for processing.
The girls, whose names were not released, were issued a family court appearance tickets and released to parents.
They are scheduled to appear in the Westchester County Department of Probation Aug. 13.
