5th Grade D.A.R.E. Graduates are Invited to a Celebration Party at Solaris!
On June 10, all of the D.A.R.E. graduates are invited to Solaris Sports Club to celebrate and put their D.A.R.E. skills to work!
Dear 5th Grade Parents,
As your children experienced the wonderful journey of D.A.R.E., they developed new decision making skills that will help guide them to safer and healthier lives.
On June 10, all of the D.A.R.E. graduates from Yorktown and Lakeland are invited to come together at Solaris Sports Club to celebrate and put their D.A.R.E. skills to work in a fun, safe and substance-free environment.

The Alliance for Safe Kids (ASK) supports the D.A.R.E. program and works together with Yorktown families, town government, local school districts, Yorktown Police Department, civic groups, scouts, youth organizations, mental health network, community sports clubs and town businesses to create a safety net for our youth.

Although it is very important to have the support of the community and to feel safe within it, research shows that parents are the number-one influencer in a teen's decision NOT to drink or take drugs. Remember to talk to them every chance that you get. Talk early and talk often.
