ALDI Hosts Hiring Event May 16 In The Hudson Valley

YORKTOWN, NY — ALDI, the Germany-based supermarket chain that's expanding in the USA, will host hiring events for all of its stores in the Hudson Valley, as well as Connecticut, on May 16. The hiring events will focus on filling 100 positions across the region.

One of the fastest growing retailers in the U.S., ALDI is nationally recognized for its commitment to employees, company officials said, such as wages and benefits that are higher than the national average for the retail industry. In 2017, ALDI was named a National 2017 Top Workplace by Workplace Dynamics, which recognizes organizations with the highest employee engagement. ALDI operates more than 1,750 stores in 35 states, with more growth planned. ALDI recently announced a $3.4 billion investment to increase store count to 2,500 locations and create 25,000 jobs by 2022.

When: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 16 at:

• Wappingers Falls, NY
• Kingston, NY
• Middletown, NY
• Newburgh, NY
• Stony Point, NY
• Danbury, CT
• New Milford, CT

Positions: Store Associate: $13.10-$14.30 per hour (wages vary by location)

Job requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older to apply
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Drug screening and background check
• Must be available to work anytime between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., Monday – Sunday
• Retail experience preferred
• Ability to lift 45 pounds
