Alliance For Safe Kids Held 8th Annual Save A Life Forum
The 8th Annual Save A Life Forum Empowered 500 Members From The Northern Westchester Community
The Alliance for Safe Kids (ASK) held their 8th Annual Save A Life Forum on Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 12:00pm - 3:00pm at Lakeland High School, 1349 East Main Street, Shrub Oak, New York 10588 with 500 community members that walked away feeling empowered. Save A Life is a program designed to inform and empower high school students and adults to be community allies and first responders to support teens and families in crisis.
National Keynote Speaker Dr. Michael Fowlin, combined his acting talents and psychology training to create an atmosphere of worldwide inclusion towards all people. Through his portrayal of different characters, he led the audience to see the beauty within themselves and others, while also celebrating and being accepting towards the differences and experiences of others. The attendees also gain important life skills at the presentations and workshops; and made many connections with area resources at the interactive exhibit hall.
“Save A Life is truly a community effort, and we could not have produced an event like this without the support of our sponsors, volunteers, workshop presenters, and exhibitors; it was wonderful to empower our Community,” said Liz Talbert, Executive Director.
