For Immediate Release Holocaust and Human Rights Education Center Names New Executive Director
Millie Jasper of Yorktown Heights has been appointed the new executive director of the Holocaust and Human Rights Education Center in White Plains, announced David A. Alpert, board chairman. She succeeds Donna Cohen, who is retiring after 18 years in the post. Ms. Jasper, an experienced office administrator, is the immediate past president of Temple Israel of Northern Westchester in Croton-on-Hudson. Most recently, Ms. Jasper was office manager/departmental coordinator at the JCC of Mid-Westchester in Scarsdale, New York, and has worked as an office relocation coordinator at Lifetime Television Network and Soundview Preparatory School. Among her volunteer activities, she is a co-chair of "Walking Together," an interfaith educational program at Temple Israel for Jewish, Christian and Muslim students and parents. The Holocaust and Human Rights Education Center provides Holocaust and human rights educational programming that reaches nearly 12,000 middle, high school and college students and teachers in Westchester, Fairfield and Putnam Counties yearly.
