Boys varsity basketball
Peekskill and Yorktown hooked up in the regular-season finale for both teams Feb. 10 at Peekskill on the Red Devils’ senior night.

For the Huskers, it was the chance to end the season on a high note while for the Red Devils the game gave them the opportunity to hone up on their skills one more time before they enter the Section 1 Class A Tournament which starts this week.
The Red Devils (14-4) made the most of that opportunity by recording a 72-33 triumph against the visiting Huskers (1-17).

Chandler Pierce and Tyler Daniel registered a game-high 14 points apiece with Bayron Carter right behind with 12.
Yorktown was led by Billy Arnold, who registered nine points on three treys.
Aidan Fullerton and Ricky Corrado followed Arnold with seven and five points respectively.
JV boys hoops
Yorktown and Peekskill also got together in a junior varsity basketball contest beforehand, with the Red Devils coming out on top 49-45.
Mason Dyslin led the Huskers with 12 points with teammate Moaz Hamza contributing 11 points.
Leading Peekskill to the win were 10 points by Robert Parker and eight points apiece from Estevan Retamar and Tyrone Searight.
Monteferante signs
Lakeland/Panas Rebels' boys lacrosse standout Chris Monteferante officially signed his National Letter of Intent to play lacrosse at Army.
