Calling all community gardeners and dirt lovers!

Children's Peaceful Garden Open Work Weekend

Saturday and Sunday, May 3rd and 4th (12:00 Noon to 4:00 P.M.)

Join us for Something Good in the World's annual Children’s Peaceful Garden Open Work Weekend at Hilltop Hanover Farm.  All ages are invited to help us weed and prepare the soil for the native plant and flower gardens, plant new perennials and vegetables, use the seesaw to pump water from the wetland pond to water our gardens, and help us create a new swing that generates electricity!

Our Children's Peaceful Garden  is all-natural, organic, and sustainable.  It is a sanctuary for children filled with vibrant wildflowers, native plants, herbs, vegetables, and lots of opportunities to get dirty and have fun!

Children can enjoy the old-fashioned tire swing, visit the free-ranging chickens, ride our pedal-a-watt bike to make organic fruit smoothies, and just enjoy an afternoon on the farm.  Bring along gardening tools, work gloves, and pack a picnic lunch.  Donations of native plants, herbs and flowers are welcome.

Admission: Free!
