Driver With Suspended License Faces DWI, Traffic Charges: Yorktown

A Yorktown officer pulled him over after watching him driving aggressively on the Taconic State Parkway, police said.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Bronx resident faces charges in Yorktown after being pulled over at 8:35 p.m. Friday on the Taconic State Parkway.

Police said an officer on patrol saw a vehicle northbound on the Taconic following another car too closely and committing other traffic infractions.

After making a traffic stop, the officer concluded that the driver was intoxicated. A blood alcohol test at department headquarters showed a BAC of .08 percent, which is the lower limit for a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated. A check of state motor vehicle records showed that the driver's license had been suspended, police said.
