Teachers and aspiring teachers hoping to find jobs in the universal pre-kindergarten programs that are being started in New York City and elsewhere in New York may be interested in attending an information session on a new Early Childhood certification program being offered by Manhattanville College and Putnam/Northern Westchester BOCES.
The information session will be held Thursday, June 5, from 4:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. at BOCES’ Yorktown campus. For further information, please contact Anne Ostrowski at (914) 248-2343.
Participants will learn how the Manhattanville College School of Education program now being offered in collaboration with BOCES/Hudson River Teacher Center will provide the credentials necessary to meet the anticipated demand for Early Childhood/Early Childhood Special Education certified teachers.

Manhattanville is offering master’s degree programs as well as certification programs to extend certification to early childhood years. Participants are able to attend classes at PNW BOCES’ campus in Yorktown Heights with some courses to be offered at Manhattanville’s campus in Purchase. Students who register through the PNW BOCES satellite location will also receive a 50 percent discount on tuition.
