Extended Office Hours Announced For Local Cancer Walk

People from across the tri-state area participate in the Support-A-Walk for Breast & Ovarian Cancer.

Support Connection, Inc., a not-for-profit organization offering free, year-round support services to people affected by breast and ovarian cancer, is extending their office hours to enable people to get ready for the 2017 Support-A-Walk for Breast and Ovarian Cancer.. Advance preparation is strongly recommended. Last year, more than 9,000 people participated in the Support-A-Walk.

Anyone can visit the Support Connection office to: donate; pick up Walk materials and tee-shirts; learn how to form a Team or start fundraising. The office is located at 40 Triangle Center, Suite 100, in Yorktown Heights.

Through Sept. 22, Support Connection will be open weekdays 9 am - 5 pm. Special extended office hours will be: Sat. Sept. 23 from 9 am - 2 pm; Weekdays Sept. 25 through Sept. 29, 9 am - 7 pm.

This year’s Support-A-Walk will take place on Sunday, October 1, 2017 (rain or shine) at FDR Park, Route 202, Yorktown Heights, NY. It is held to bring attention to the needs of people with breast and ovarian cancer, and to raise funds for Support Connection’s free support services for those living with these diseases.

All are welcome to participate in the Support-A-Walk. Families, friends, and co-workers teams are invited to walk together in Teams. Individuals are also welcome to participate. Even those who can’t attend can donate and fundraise.
