Eric Cooley and Lakeland's Mike Kaplan proved that they could not only perform on the field but also and more importantly, at a high level in the classroom when they were named Golden Dozen honorable mention by The Westchester Chapter of the National Football Foundation when it anounced its 2011 Scholar-Athlete Teams.

Yorktown grapplers continue to roll
Yortown's grapplers continued their oustanding campaign when they placed second at the Scarsdale Tournament Jan. 7.

Boys youth hoops win
Yorktown came up with a big victory in the Tri-County Basketball League's fifth grade B division when it defeated the Horsemen 24-15 Jan. 7.
