Grants are awarded competitively based upon quality and educational components, and to projects which are not funded within the traditional budget. Each year at our main event, the FFE honors individuals in our community that inspire excellence in our students. This year, the FFE honors the tireless efforts of our Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, Lisa O’Shea. Mrs. O’Shea joined the Yorktown Central School district in 2008 as the principal of Crompond School. She moved to her position as Director of Pupil Personnel Services two years later. While there, she developed and implemented ongoing district-wide plans for special education services to meet the needs of our students. She came to her position as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction in 2016. She is a dedicated and committed educator who believes in making a difference in the lives of all of our children.
