Lacrosse for a Good Cause, All Day Event at Walter Panas HS
The May 14 games will be played for a good cause.

The Second Annual Communities Collide Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, May 14 at Walter Panas High School. It is hosted by the lacrosse programs of the and Walter Panas High School Rebels, the Somers High School Tuskers, the Shrub Oak Athletic Club's Lacrosse Rebels and the Somers Tuskers Youth Lacrosse Programs.
This year these programs will be supporting the Veteran's Hospital of The Hudson Valley's Art Therapy Programs by collecting the below items to be dropped off at Walter Panas High School’s concession stand and coordinating donations for these hospital programs in a day long event from 8 a.m. when the youth games begin until the night with the conclusion of the high school's junior varsity and varsity games.
Athletes will play lacrosse all day long, and there will be food and fun for the fans.

Anyone can donate any of the below items that day or contact the below email for donation information, as well as donate directly to the hospital's program.
"Our Veterans have supported all of us, now is your chance to help them with a real need. They leave their families with a phone call. You have time to get a donation to help."

The games are as follows:
8:30- 9:20 a.m. K-1st Grade
9:30 – 10:30 a.m. 2nd Grade
10:45 - 11:45 a.m. 3rd-4th grade
12- 1 p.m. 3/4th
1:15 - 2:15 p.m. 5/6th
2:30 - 3:30 p.m. - 5/6th
3:45 - 4:45 p.m.- 7/8th
Junior varsity-5 p.m.
Varsity 7:30 p.m.
List of donation items being accepted:
- Spade Shovel (short handle) for planting
- Wooden planters
- Pair of Bypass Loppers
- Ornamental grass shears
- Edgers
- Potting soil
Here is a list of Art Supplies:
- Glue sticks
- Pastels (pencils or chalk)
- Colored pencils
- Erasers (large)
- Sketch pads (8x10 bound not spiral)
- 4 easels for displaying art
- Charcoal pencils
- Glossy acrylic paints
- Drafting tape
- Pre assembled small wood projects
- Silk flowers from the dollar store
- Markers (washable all colors)
- Markers (permanent all colors)
- Paint brushes (all sizes)
- Plastic bins (shoe box size or larger w/lids)

Building 6 Art therapy which works primarily with nursing home veterans. Building 14 & 12 art therapy which works with inpatient and outpatient veterans. The general post fund which number is 1119.
