On Tuesday June 12th Lakeland beat Walter Panas 8-1 in the 5th Annual Futures Cup match held at .

The game pits 8th grade students who are currently attending the same Middle School but will go to rival high schools for the Fall 2012 school year as well as the 2012 JV soccer season.

In the 5th addition of the Futures Cup- Lakeland took a 2-1 lead into halftime with 1 goal and 1 assist from Dante Caputi and 1 goal from Anthony Cutrone.

As the rain started to come down in the 2nd half- the goals came fast and furious. 6 more goals were added including a hat trick from Nick Foci and and 1 more goal from Dante Caputi and 2 from Debin Girgenti. 

The final score was 8-1 setting a new record for goals scored in a game in JV CUP history - Lakeland against the 8th grade team from Walter Panas. In addition to all the goals- Aaron Kreuter played well in net for Lakeland adding 4 saves!

THE MVPS of this match were Dante Caputi (2 goals 1 assist) and Nick Foci (3 goals).
