Law OK'd For Purple Heart Recipient Parking In Yorktown
Previously, the spaces were there as a courtesy, but others were using them.

YORKTOWN, NY — The Town of Yorktown has put into law reserved parking spaces for wounded veterans, meaning it’s no longer just a courtesy. Parking in the six formally designated spaces without an official placard or state-issued Purple Heart-recipient plates is now subject to a fine of up to $100.
The town board unanimously approved the legislation, according to tapinto.net.
