The No. 1 Rebels will be hosting No. 4 Mahopac in a Class A semifinal at 5 p.m. at .
Lakeland/Panas beat Mahopac earlier in the season in overtime 6-5 at LHS on Brian Prunty's game winner. Patch was there for that one – click for the story.
The two rivals met twice last season, with Mahopac winning both games, including a 7-5 victory in the Class A title game.
Yorktown
The No. 1 Huskers will host No. 5 Rye at 5 p.m. at in a Class B semifinal, the first meeting between the two schools since 2009. The game will mark the return of Yorktown graduates Brian Dooley (‘96) and Scott Dooley (‘98), who are now Rye coaches, as per Mike Dougherty's post on the LoHud Boys Lacrosse Blog.
Softball
No. 13 Lakeland (10-9) will host No. 20 Somers (7-13) in Class A outbracket game at 6 p.m. today according to MSG Varsity. The winner of this game will advance to a first-round game at 4:30 p.m. on Friday against No. 4 Harrison (14-5).
No. 6 Yorktown (13-7) will host No. 11 Mahopac (9-10) at 4:30 p.m. on Friday in a Class AA opening-round contest.
