This is My Story by Lisa
Today, we're sharing another individual story as part of our 1,000 Stories Campaign. This story comes from Lisa, a cancer survivor.

Lisa's story is that of a survivor!
I met Lisa at our kickoff event a few years ago and I remember how eager she was to learn more about Relay & join us in the fight.
Over the past nearly 3 years, I've gotten to know her better, especially after this spring. What I can tell you about her is that no matter what she's going through, she's such a fighter but she's also so positive. Regardless of what she was going through, she always made sure to keep a positive spin on everything.
When we met to film her video, we sat for a while beforehand talking about what she wanted to say. She surprised me with the angel she wanted to go with & I am so happy she did. She was telling me more about what life is like after cancer & I truly learned a lot. I am so appreciative for this perspective because I feel that she opened me up to what happens after you find out you're in remission.

Lisa's story offers so much insight & I think this will help people understand that while getting an "all clear" doesn't mean that difficult feelings & emotions simply disappear. Her story offers up so much important knowledge & support for people going through cancer!
