No Muffler Leads to Arrest of Yonkers Man on Assault Charges

The suspect had an active arrest warrant.

YORKTOWN, NY — A car without a muffler led to the arrest of a Yonkers man for assault.

Yorktown Police said Prince A. Lee, 24, of Hudson Street in Yonkers, was charged with third-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing, both misdemeanors. He was also charged with operating a motor vehicle with no muffler, a traffic infraction.

An officer in a marked patrol vehicle on Crompond Road saw Lee driving a car that didn’t have a muffler.

After a traffic stop, an investigation found that Lee had an active arrest warrant in Yonkers.

The warrant was confirmed and Lee was arrested and taken to the Yorktown Police Department.

He was later turned over to members of the City of Yonkers Police Department Warrant Squad.
