NYSEG Customers Report Outages Sunday From Nor'easter

Heavy rains and winds in excess of 25 mph are in the forecast.

NYSEG electricty customers have been affected by the nor’easter moving through the Hudson Valley Sunday. Heavy rain along with winds forecast to be 25 to 35 mph — not to mention wind gusts up to 65 mph — are taking a toll on power lines. In Dutchess County, there are 212 customers without electricity. Putnam has 63; Westchester, 805.

All of the reported outages in Dutchess are in Amenia and Wassaic. Crews are assessing the restoration time as of 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

In Putnam, there are 63 customers waiting for the lights to come back on.

Westchester has 805 customers without power, including 245 in Bedford, 194 in North Salem, 173 in Somers and 109 in Lewisboro.
