Our Montessori School Celebrates Photographer Appreciation Month

October is Photographer Appreciation Month, and Our Montessori School recently recognized two photographers, Kevin Carter, Executive Photographer with Milestones Studio, LLC and Alexis Levitan with Alexis Levitan Photography.

OMS Executive Director Elizabeth Silverman presented them with seasonal houseplants.

Our Montessori School in Yorktown and Carmel is a private school serving children aged 18 months through sixth grade from more than 29 towns and villages in Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess counties as well as several nearby Connecticut towns.

Carter has been taking the annual student and class photos for more than two decades.

School officials said Carter has a knack for capturing the best shots of each child and is also appreciated for his outstanding sibling photos. Several families have brought in older siblings just to have their annual sibling photo from him.

Ms. Levitan has been the school photographer for five years and records special events and everyday activities that are highlighted in monthly newsletters and on the school’s Facebook page.

Milestones Studio is based in Poughkeepsie. Alexis Levitan Photography is based in Katonah.
