Schuldt Gets First Goal: Yorktown Daily Sports Digest March 2

Welcome to Patch's daily snapshot of sports in Yorktown.

Men's Lacrosse

Freshman midfielder Ty Schuldt (Yorktown '11), who was an All-American for the Huskers on last year's Section 1 Class B championship squad, is now playing lacrosse for the University of Hartford.

Schuldt scored his first collegiate goal in Hartford's 15-14 overtime loss to visiting Holy Cross Feb. 25.

Ice-Hockey

Yorktown's ice-hockey squad enjoyed a great year and rightfully so was rewarded by the LoHud Hockey Blog as it was put in its final Division 2 poll.

County Center Hoops

The semifinals and finals of the Section 1 boys and girls basketball championships at the Westchester County Center in White Plains continue today with semifinal games.

Championship games then will follow on Saturday and Sunday.
