Sharing Your Cancer Story via Video for the 1,000 Stories Campaign!
If you have a cancer story to tell, then we need you! See how your help is needed & what you can do to make an impact!
If you haven't heard yet about our 1,000 Stories Campaign- then we're happy you're here!
From now through September 25, 2017, we're collecting 1,000 stories of cancer in our community. Your story can be about a loved one who has battled cancer or a story about your own personal cancer battle. We are looking to use these to make a massive impact to show how cancer has effected our community.
For all the details on specifically what we're looking for, how to mail your story in & more, please visit (and share!): http://rockforrelay.weebly.com/1000stories.html

To go hand in hand with the hard copies of the 1,000 Stories Campaign, we are also asking our community to help us with creating lots of 2-3 minute videos sharing your story. If you feel comfortable being on camera to help us elevate our campaign- then we need you!
Videos will be only 2-3 minutes & you can share any personal cancer story you'd like. The videos will be added to our new Relay for Life of Yorktown YouTube channel as well as shared on social media! We are aiming to bring our community back to their roots by reflecting on all the times cancer has effected their lives. We want to remind everybody why we're in the fight against cancer & that our community is an important support system.
