Somers Man Buys Costumes For Developmentally Disabled Adults
The group of eight young adults said they were told to leave a Halloween store in White Plains.

YORKTOWN, NY — The group of developmentally disabled young adults who said they were kicked out of a pop-up White Plains Halloween shop has been given costumes by a Somers resident. Jay Canzio called SPARC, Inc., the Yorktown-based nonprofit that works with developmentally disable children, to offer to buy them costumes.
Canzio arranged to meet with a SPARC staffer at Party City in Yorktown Heights where he bought costumes and accessories for the eight young people, lohud.com said.
All of this happened in time for SPARC’s Halloween Dance Friday.

The eight young adults and two staff members said a store employee of Halloween Headquarters in White Plains told them to leave the premises. They were not being disruptive and were humiliated by the experience.
