The Shrub Oak Athletic Club held its year-end girls and boys basketball Championship and All Star Games on March 17 at .

The following was submitted by the 'Red Hot Chili Peppers' girls basketball team who won their championship game:

The "Red Hot Chili Peppers" won their championship game by a score of 18-12. It was a very well played game by both teams, but in the end, the took 1st place! It was the perfect ending to a perfect season finishing 13-0! The girls played hard all season, and did not disappoint today.

Caroline Cahill and Kelsey McCrudden took home MVP awards for the outstanding job they did for the team. They were both strong players, who showed a lot of heart for the team all season. In fact, they played today even though they both had injuries. Caroline played with a fractured wrist, and Kelsey played with 2 broken fingers! That is determination at its finest!

The team would like to thank the coaches for all they did this season, and Don Priore for sponsoring the team!
