Peekskill girls defeat Lakeland
When it comes to coaching girls basketball, whether its long-time veteran coach Steve Fallo or third-year Peekskill boss Rodney Headley Jr., one can't go wrong.

Both have state championships to their credit with Fallo's coming in 2007 and Headley's last season.
Fallo also coached the Hornets to the state finals in 2010 and on his way beat the Red Devils in the sectional championship game.

The two highly aclaimed coaches went against each other again at Peekskill High School Jan. 6 with the Red Devils this time coming out on top 54-35.
Leading the Red Devils was Asia Jackson with 19 points with Kate Weldon being the Hornets high scorer with 10.
Red Devil boys overcome Hornets
Peekskill, led by 18 points and 11 rebounds from Chandler Pierce, won at Lakeland 69-60 Jan. 6 in boys basketball.
Alex Perlman put up 12 points for Lakeland.

Boys youth hoops
Yorktown will play the North Salem Tigers in the eighth grade A division of the Brewster Sports Center Super League at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10.
