Vote to fill vacant Town board seat fails
Motion to appoint Rich Campanaro to fill board vacancy failed to get needed 3 votes. Board is considering proposal to privatize the organic recycling facility.

1. Town Board Vacancy
Supervisor Grace's motion to appoint Richard Campanaro received only two votes, his and Councilman Murphy’s. Three votes are needed to approve the resolution.
2. R&S proposal to operate organic recycling facility
The board discussed a proposal by R&S Waste Services, the company that currently has the garbage contract, to take over the town’s Greenwood Street recycling program for brush and logs
3. Stoney Street water main issue
Water Superintendent Rambo advised the board that a leak has been detected ion Stoney Street under the Bear Mountain Parkway. Because the town does not have the equipment to undertake the repair, the town will explore with the state whether ECCO, the company currently doing the Route 202 project, can do the work.
4. Garden Club/Commerce Street beautification
The town will give the Garden Club additional funds for the seasonal planting program.
