Weekend Weather: Mostly Cloudy around Somers and Yorktown

Looks as if it'll stay spring-like for a little longer, delaying the classic New York mood swing straight to summer heat.

"A storm will approach from the southwest, and usher in clouds for our Saturday," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. "It will be a close call, but rain showers are expected on Saturday, especially in the afternoon."

Not only that, but the weekend will be cooler than Friday.

"Rain and clouds this weekend could keep temperatures between 5 and 10 degrees below average from Boston to New York City, Washington, D.C., and Pittsburgh," said Brett Rathbun, AccuWeather.com Meteorologist. "Saturday is likely to be the cooler day of the weekend."

• Today-Sunny. Highs in the lower 70s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
• Tonight-Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 50s. Southwest winds around 5 mph.
• Saturday-Mostly cloudy. A chance of rain...mainly in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 60s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.
• Saturday Night-Cloudy with a 50 percent chance of rain. Lows in the upper 40s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph...becoming north after midnight. Gusts up to 20 mph.
• Sunday-Cloudy. A chance of rain in the morning...then a chance of showers in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 60s. North winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40 percent.
• Sunday Night-Mostly cloudy. A chance of showers in the evening. Lows in the lower 50s. Chance of rain 40 percent.
