Westchester County helicopter flies in to visit Yorktown High School students

Yorktown High School students get an upclose look at a police helicopter by the Westchester County Police and Yorktown Police Department.

Yorktown Heights, NY, June 15, 2017-- The Law Enforcement Club at Yorktown High School hosted a special guest recently, a helicopter. The police landed this aircraft so the students could find out all about its emergency capabilities. This was an opportunity for the teens to get very close to the helicopter and find out how it is used by law enforcement agents.

The Westchester County Police Department landed the copter on the Downing Park field near Yorktown High School. The visit was part of a program for the high school's Law Enforcement Club, an outreach program run by the Yorktown Police Department that has become very popular with the students.
